Christopher Shepherd, Managing Director 

Chris Shepherd has worked in the securities industry since 1984, initially working as Floor Manager of the Lazard financial futures operations in London before joining the newly established Lazard Capital Markets Group in 1985. A sales/trader in a range of high yielding products, Chris was appointed a Partner in 1986. In 1992 he was part of the former Lazard team that established one of the earliest London hedge funds, Park Place Capital, where Chris was Investment Director. Chris joined ANZ Investment Bank in 1996 where he was a Director of Corporate Finance, working on the Subcontinent and then heading up the M&A cross border activities for South East Asia. In 1999 Chris returned to the high yield markets and developed a distressed debt trading business with BNP Paribas. In 2003 Chris and Giles Hosking developed a distressed debt trading business at Maxcor.

In 2005 Chris and Giles Hosking established an independent, European distressed debt trading business.

Giles Hosking, a qualified Chartered Accountant, began his career in 1988 at Ernst & Young. In 1992 he joined UBK Asset Management, working as an investment analyst and then portfolio manager within the High Yield Investment Group. Giles moved to Greenwich NatWest in 1996 as a Director, managing a proprietary trading book that focused on illiquid and distressed credit opportunities. In 1999 Giles joined Barclays Capital as a Director in the High Yield Group, where he developed a European sales and trading platform. In 2003 Giles and Chris Shepherd developed a distressed debt trading business at Maxcor.

In 2005 Giles and Chris Shepherd established an independent, European distressed debt trading business.
